Yesterday I finished building my grow light setup for my indoor bamboo plants. The two plants I have under the lights are Blue Bamboo (Himalayacalamus Hookerianus) and Dendrocalamus Giganteus. The grow light is made up of two 100 watt par38 metal halide bulbs.

Free Compost =]

Today I went to the Fairfax County I-66 Waste Transfer Station to get some compost for the bamboo. This is the first time I've ever used their compost and I wish I had found it sooner. It seems very good quality and it's free.
